The dog days of summer are relentless with the heat and humidity. This is not unlike the Government contractor cost accounting and pricing challenges that persist amid the long and lazy summer days running up to the Government’s fiscal yearend. Our February 2024 web series tackled contractor multipliers, uncompensated overtime, and intercompany transactions.  In this series, we’ll wrestle with three new common and confusing accounting and pricing challenges:
  • Certified Cost or Pricing Data (i.e., TINA)
  • Facilities Capital Cost of Money (FCCM)
  • Selling and Bid & Proposal cost
In each 90-minute session, we’ll discuss the compliance requirements, identify common hurdles and misconceptions, and discuss risk mitigation strategies—complete with examples. Each session offers 1.5 hours of CPE. Please register for the entire series or join us for an individual webinar that suits your organization’s needs.

Our web series leader, Deb Nixon, brings her unique perspective and experience to each of the three sessions.  Deb shares her over 30 years of experience as a career dedicated Government contracts practitioner and CPA.

These live webinars are eligible for both CLE and CPE credit.
NOTE: CPE/CLE credit for attendees are subject to participation and approval by the governing boards.

We'll kick off this web series by acquainting ourselves with TINA. Cost-based acquisition relies on information from the contractor's books and records, including historical and budgetary data, when pricing contracts. When the Government or a higher-tier contractor relies on this information for contract award, the proposal may trigger certificat... more

Budgets are tight; inflation is rampant; vendor, supplier, and employee costs continue to climb; and capital investment is falling. In times such as this, facilities capital cost of money (FCCM) may be worth the trouble for some Government contractors. Cost of Money is an imputed cost related to contractor capital committed to facilities. It i... more

The USG acquisition cycle tends to be longer and more complicated than the commercial sector. FAR and CAS introduce requirements for more granularity in our cost accounting and pricing. These requirements breed plenty of confusion and are often miscalculated. Common questions arise, such as: What's the difference between selling and B&P costs... more
