The FPS Technical Data and Intellectual Property Certificate program effectively blends detailed instruction with practical, hands-on exercises that are designed to explain and reinforce the complex legal rules and requirements relating to software, IT services, and intellectual property in U.S. government contracts.

This certificate program provides a micro-credential that documents your experience and achievement in a specialized subject area. If you have three or more years of experience in government contracting, it is recommended that you take the Concentrated Course in Government Contracting as your foundational course rather than the Basics of Government Contracting.
