This session will discuss the impact of estimating systems on the accounting and pricing functions. We will cover the Estimating System adequacy criteria contained in the DFARS business systems rule, material weaknesses and significant deficiencies, cost vs. price analysis, basis of estimate (BOE), and what DCAA looks for in the audit process. Learning Objectives: By the end of the webinar you should be able to:  Understand cost estimating system requirements and how they are implemented;  Identify where to locate specific DCAA audit programs which relate to estimating;  Maintain up-to-date information of the threshold for obtaining certified cost or pricing data;  Describe multiple forms of acceptable cost or pricing data and when certification is required;  List the basic Basis of Estimate (BOE) components and develop an estimating technique; and  Understand common estimating challenges.
