Responding to the RFP - Session 2 - First Time as a Prime Series 2024
First Time as a Prime Webinar Series - 2024
This session will focus on how to respond to the RFP. Attendees will learn the cost/price compliance requirements for any FAR-covered contract. These requirements often surprise companies who have primarily worked with the government through subcontracts. The biggest takeaway might just be learning "because that's the way we've always done it" is not actually the right answer to compliance. Attendees will also learn the challenges facing a prime regarding communicating, requesting, and receiving pricing information from subcontractors. They will also learn industry tips for understanding the RFP requirements and asking questions regarding the RFP for clarification and/or changes. Finally, attendees will discover that subcontractor cost/price submission often contain discrepancies from RFP or prime instructions - but that there are ways to minimize this risk. Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, attendees will be able to: Know the FAR, and supplemental FAR, requirements for all prime cost/price volumes Identify RFP-specific requirements for prime cost/price volumes Develop a repeatable pricing process for responding to proposals as a prime contractor Learn best practices to optimize communicating, requesting, and receiving information from subcontractors Ensure subcontractor submissions are compliant and complete, even if they are provided as a sealed package to the government

Indirect Costs - Session 6 - Procurement University 2024
Procurement University - 2024
Indirect Costs refer to the cost associated with running the business and supporting direct projects, but cannot themselves be defined as direct costs (e.g. finance, legal, facilities, IT, fringe benefits). The Federal Government allows for reimbursement of these costs and contractors have flexibility in how their indirect costs are structured and applied to direct contract costs. Throughout the contract life cycle and fiscal year, there are several types of indirect rate calculations used. In this program, you will learn about indirect rate structures, the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP), DCAA's FPRP Checklist, billing rates and the final indirect cost rate proposal process. Learning Objectives: By the end of the webinar you should be able to: Differentiate between direct and indirect costs using real examples; Define two-tier and three-tier rate structures; Identify three types of G&A allocation bases; Understand the Forward Pricing Rate Agreement process; and Determine when an Incurred Cost Proposal (ICS) is appropriate and how it is utilized.
