Over the past five years, organizations have undergone tremendous change with managing their workforce.  With the disruption of the pandemic, employers adopted more flexible work arrangements including remote work, flexible work hours, unlimited paid time off (PTO), new employee enrichment activities, and more.  With these unprecedented changes in the workforce, how do contractors integrate such changes while maintaining compliance with FAR, CAS, and their US Government contracts -- Specifically the accounting, pricing, and reporting requirements.

Whether you have implemented workforce management strategies or are considering embracing alternative employee-related initiatives, Government contractors can’t avoid the compliance impact on contract pricing and accounting. This 4-part web series explores some of the accounting and pricing implications of these innovative workforce management approaches, including:

  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO)
  • Remote and flexible work arrangements
  • Contractor facilities and capacity availability
  • Timekeeping
  • Uncompensated overtime

Embracing workforce management innovations presents Government contractors with unique opportunities and challenges. Opportunities include improved profitability, more competitive pricing, and reduced administrative costs.  Challenges include substantiation, questioned costs, cost accounting practice changes, and more.  Government contractors must weigh the rewards against their contract compliance requirements.

This workforce management web series is a practical guide to explaining some of the requirements and common challenges contractors and oversight officials encounter.  Understanding the compliance requirements is essential to facilitate compliance in the organization’s contract portfolio.  Each 90-minute session will acquaint the participant with a different workforce management initiative and build on the previous session.  We offer 1.5 hours of CPE for each session. Register for the entire series or join us for an individual webinar that suits your organization’s needs.

Our web series leader, Deb Nixon brings her unique perspective and experience to each of the four sessions. Deb shares her over 30 years of experience as a career-dedicated Government contracts practitioner.

These live webinars are eligible for both CLE and CPE credit.
NOTE: CPE/CLE credit for attendees are subject to participation and approval by the governing boards.
