This is session 2 of 3 in the Tackling Tough Accounting and Pricing Issues 2.0 series.

Budgets are tight; inflation is rampant; vendor, supplier, and employee costs continue to climb; and capital investment is falling.  In times such as this, facilities capital cost of money (FCCM) may be worth the trouble for some Government contractors.

Cost of Money is an imputed cost related to contractor capital committed to facilities.  It is not interest!  It is contractor compensation for using its own capital to invest in facilities and equipment that benefit the Government rather than the contractor earning a return on that investment.

Learning Objectives: Our session will explore the requirements, calculations, advantages, and disadvantages of pricing and accounting for cost of money.
