Federal Procurement Subcontracting involves many issues whether represents a U.S. government agency customer, a federal government prime contractor, or a commercial subcontractor working in support of a federal government prime contract. The issues for each are related, but different, depending on the circumstances and the party for whom one works. This series discusses similarities, differences, and characteristics one should recognize and understand when working in support of any of these parties.

Topics to be addressed include:
  • Applicable Laws, Rules, and Regulations, plus Characteristics, Similarities, Differences, and Relationships between U.S. Government prime contracts and their associated subcontracts.
  • “Authority to Contract” at the government, prime and subcontract levels; Flow-Down Requirements, Solicitation Provisions, and Contract Clauses applicable to U.S. Government prime contracts and their associated subcontracts.
  • Specialized topics relating to U.S. Government prime contracts and subcontracts, including Teaming Agreements; Financing Arrangements; Socio-Economic Objectives; Commercial Product/Services Contracting; and Cost Disclosures.
  • The Formation, Administration, and Performance of U.S. Government contracts and their associated subcontracts, including matters relating to Inspection, Acceptance and Warranty; Subcontract Payments; Contract Changes; Disputes; and Terminations.

In each 90-minute session, we’ll discuss statutory, regulatory, and other requirements pertinent to the subjects addressed, identify common misperceptions and associated risks, explore practical examples, and identify best practices for dealing with many of the issues concerned. Each session offers 1.5 hours of CLE. Please register for the entire series or join us for an individual webinar that suits you and your organization’s needs. The sessions will build upon one another, so you attendance at all sessions will be most informative.

Our web series instructor, Mike Killham, brings a broad perspective and has extensive experience in government and commercial contracting. Mike will share his 37 years of experience as a U.S. government attorney and legal instructor, in-house counsel for major U.S. government contractors, and outside counsel consultant for companies engaged in U.S. government and foreign contracting and subcontracting.

These live webinars are eligible for both CLE and CPE credit.
NOTE: CPE/CLE credit for attendees are subject to participation and approval by the governing boards.
