She conducts outreach to employers in the Northern VA area, linking them to opportunities to interface with undergraduate and graduate students. She also delivers career guidance focused on federal and GovCon industries. Sophia’s background is in higher education, workforce training and development, and instructional design. She serves as the Co-Chair of Dulles Chamber’s Workforce and Education committee and is a member of Reston Chamber’s GovCon committee.

She has more than 15 years of progressive human resources and strategic business partnering experience from a wide array of industries. Before joining Delta Risk, she was the director of administration at Manufacturing Techniques (MTEQ), an advanced sensors design, development, and rapid prototyping company. In this role she served as a member of the executive leadership team and created business-driven programs and process improvement in a wide range of areas, including talent management, benefits administration, facilities and security management, and information technology. Leah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington and holds a Senior Professional of Human Resources certification, and well as the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional certification.
