This 1-day, 2-session, virtual course is COMPLIMENTARY!

If Ben Franklin was alive today, he may have revised his famous quote to say - “Nothing is for certain but death, taxes and cyberattacks”.   This year has turned out to be a mixed bag of new regulations, refinements of requirements.   The continuous adjustments to CMMC, delayed releases of final rules have left most in a state of confusion and complacency.  However, in recent months, agencies have set in motion new regulations outside of the CMMC domain including new NIST Standards the industry should be paying attention to. Cyberattacks continue to grow stronger as adversaries and bad actors innovate new ways to penetrate vulnerable systems.

In the AM session of this summit, we will hear about changes and revised regulations by agencies well as DOD’s continued push for CMMC compliance as FY24 comes into focus.  We will talk about costs associated and how to combat cyber.

In the PM session, fasten your seatbelts as we discuss in a roundtable format a potential powder keg of activity in 2024 and an outlook that we believe will get you thinking about your cyber strategy.

Here are some of the benefits of attending the 2023 Cybersecurity Summit:

  • Learn from experts in the field
  • Gain insights that will help you protect your business

9:45- 10:30am: Taking CMMC Seriously - What is the Cost of Compliance?
If planning for CMMC has become a painful distraction from running your business – or worse, you’ve put it off so it won’t be – the time has come to get ready for compliance. Learn what you need to know about CMMC and how to be prepared for an assessment.
Bill Wootton, Chief Revenue Officers, C3 Integrated Solutions

10:30 – 10:45am BREAK

10:45- 11: 30am: Cyber Attacks, It’s as Common as a Summer Thunderstorm.
A cyberattack happens every 29 seconds.  Over 17,000 attacks in any given 24-hour period.  How do you protect your organization?  And more importantly, how do you respond to your customers, business partners and government regulators? In this session, we will discuss current challenges and potential responses.
Kim Metzger, Partner McCarter & English, Chris Pogue, Director CyberCX

11: 30 – 12:15pm: The Importance of Leveling Up Your Cybersecurity Posture
According to recent government reports, the vast majority of the contractors are unprepared to meet the cybersecurity requirements of FAR & DFARS government contract clauses – including the requirements to provide “adequate security” of controlled unclassified information (CUI). The Federal Government is continuing to increase the size and scope of protecting CUI across all federal agencies, so you do not want to be unprepared. Join this session to learn what cybersecurity compliance regulations they may be subject to right now, what is on the horizon, how they can strengthen their cybersecurity posture to address these requirements, and much more!
Michael Greenman, Senior Manager, Cloud Solutions

12: 15 to 2:15pm: LUNCH BREAK

2024: The Year of Testing Cyber Defenses

2:15 – 4:15pm: So many things are converging now that 2024 may be very interesting for the industry.
2024 is a Presidential election year.  Will our adversaries be quietly meddling in US affairs, will they deploy economically devastating attacks on critical infrastructure? How do we prepare?

In this afternoon session, we will shift from the “Now” to the “Future” and discuss future events and the cost of mitigating risk, developing a strong defense and reducing damage  whether it is  financial, physical or reputation  on potential infrastructure attacks.

Join us in an animated roundtable discussion led by Perry Keating of Protiviti,  with industry leaders who will discuss thoughts about future global threats in 2024.
